This is the NIHR Innovation Observatory’s Medicines Innovation Database (MInD), a bespoke database that consists of unique Technology Records [innovative medicine(s) + target indication(s)] that triangulates intelligence from:
- ‘hard’ data sources (clinical trials registries, research funders, regulatory authorities),
- ‘soft’ intel (news/media, social media) and
- ‘pharma’ intel (company websites, press releases, direct engagement with companies).
The MInD provides the team with a clear and complete horizon-scanning picture of the clinical development and regulatory pathway of each technology record.
Recent updates:
Informa Sprint 4 updates went live on 18th August 2023 - updates include
- Automated system for updating UK and EU license statuses on interventions
- Tagging functionality for interventions and trials
- Ability to categorise technology statuses and filter chronologically
- Introduced hierarchical menu system
- Change site-wide font to Lato
- Added new fields to intervention search exports
